Great Lakes Water Walk (September 25, 2017):
“[On Monday], I had the amazing opportunity to take part in the Great Lakes Water Walk along the Toronto Waterfront. This was an Indigenous-led Water Walk to honour and protect Nibi (Water). I walked alongside grandmothers and elders. After the walk, an Anishinaabe ceremony was performed, followed by water offerings, the singing of water songs and petitions for the water to be clean and pure.
I had my friend Hilda Swirsky (RNAO’s Region 6 President) all through the walk.
See the wonderful pictures that we took along our walk.
